THE LION'S ROAR!
March 25th, 2022
A Little ROAR from one of our Lion Trainers!
Dear Families,
Greetings!
Where did spring go? We are hoping it comes back soon! In the meantime, we still do go outside for recess. Please help us to make sure that students are warm enough at recess by monitoring that your child has a jacket or coat when they come to school each morning. While we wish it was as warm as it could be this spring, we need to be mindful of the daily temperature!
Next week is our last full week of school before spring break! The students do not have school Monday, April 4th through Friday, April 8th. Students will return to school on Monday, April 11th. We will send another reminder next week!
Have a wonderful weekend with your families!

SPRING TESTING
Dear Parents / Guardians,
As a reminder, we will be starting spring testing. This spring there will be a new state test, “NSCAS Growth.” NSCAS Growth, which is a blend of MAP Growth and NSCAS, assesses students in grades 3 - 8 in English Language Arts and Mathematics. The Nebraska Department of Education also tests Science in grades 5 and 8.
In order to measure growth within the school year, this spring we will also be giving the MAP Growth assessment we administered in Fall and Winter. In future years, only NSCAS Growth will be administered to students in grades 3-8.
We will send home the student reports for both tests when available.
Please reach out with any questions.
Sincerely,
Colleen Ballard
