📘📗Fall 2023 Scholastic Book Fair📗📘

Our Scholastic Book Fair is this week! Students will be able to shop during their regularly scheduled library times, as well as on certain mornings.

If you choose to send cash or a check to school with your student, please put it in a Ziploc bag or sealed envelope. Clearly write your student's name, homeroom teacher, and amount that they brought on the bag or envelope. You may also choose to add money directly to your student's e-wallet!

**Please note that prices for students shopping with cash will be rounded up to the nearest quarter to help facilitate shopping. **

Family Coffee with Childcare

Join us after school on Friday, November 18th from 3:45 to 4:30p.m. Adults will meet in the library and discuss how to help your student make progress in reading at home with our Instructional Coach Lauren Blumberg. The principal and other members of our school community will also be there to answer any questions you may have, or just come and enjoy a cup of coffee and a snack together! Spanish translation will be available.

Students will be monitored by a group of our high school volunteers in a room nearby!

Krispy Kreme Donut Time

Back by popular demand! Get your Krispy Kreme Donuts!!

Flyers will be sent home with students this week. Orders and payments are due back to school by Monday, November 21st.

Donuts will be available for pickup on Tuesday, December 6th, more details to come!

The PTO asks for your support to provide lunch for the Elementary School Teachers and Staff.

Monday, November 21st the PTO will provide lunch for the Elementary School prior to Conferences. They are asking for families to support this effort by using their Amazon List to have snacks, chips and drinks sent to school for the staff. Thank you for taking care of our teachers and staff!

**If you would like to volunteer to help with the lunch (set up 11:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m., clean up 1:30 p.m.-2:00 p.m.) please email the PTO, espto@akfcs.org.**

Save the Date for Family Bingo Night on December 1st 6:30-8:00 p.m.

The Elementary and Middle School PTOs are teaming up for a night of family fun and supporting those in our community by collecting non-perishable food items on December 1st.

Enrollment Lottery 2023-24

The Enrollment Lottery is now open for the 2023-2024 school, through February 28, 2023. Each academic year we develop a new waitlist. If you are looking to enroll a student at Abby Kelley in the 2023-2024 school year, you must enter this lottery.

Important reminders

Students entering Kindergarten must be five by August 31.
Enrollment is open to students through sixth grade.
Applicants who have a sibling already enrolled in Abby Kelley get sibling preference in the Lottery.
Enrollment in Abby Kelley is done strictly by lottery. At this time there are no open seats in grades 1-6 . Applicants will be placed on a waitlist, if and when seats become available families will be contacted.
