The Gaylord Community School's maintenance crew, as well as outside contractors have been hard at work this summer making Gaylord High School look its best. Here are some pictures of the great work that has been completed this summer. This improvements include fresh paint in the gym, fresh paint in the commons as well as new tables in the cafeteria, new stairs at the front entrance, and new concrete at the gym entrance.

ALL students taking medication during the school day must complete the appropriate form(s). There have been some changes by the state of Michigan in regards to prescription medication at school. Now ALL prescription medication must have a doctor's signature. Our prescription medication forms have been updated across the district. GHS is excited to welcome our newest staff members to the school. Even if you don't have a class with one of the teachers listed below, please join me in giving them a warm welcome to GHS.

In addition, please join me in welcome Mr. Sargent to his new role as GHS Assistant Principal. Mr. Stefanski is retiring later this fall.

10th-12th grade students may pick up their schedules and get their school pictures taken on August 30th and 31st from 8:00 AM- 3:00 PM.

If students are in need of school supplies, please talk to your counselor. GHS has supplies available for students in need.

Drop/Add forms must be filled out completely and signed by a parent before counselors will begin making changes. Counselors will not begin working on schedule change requests until Tuesday, September 5th. Students should attend all classes as printed on their schedule until they receive confirmation of a change from their guidance counselor. The last day to submit a drop/add request is Friday, September 8th.

Gaylord Community Schools is seeking Child Care Aids for our After School Child Care Program!

• We are seeking individuals that enjoy working with children and are able to assist the child care staff in supervising students and maintaining a safe and positive environment.
• Positions are available at Gaylord Intermediate School, North Ohio Elementary School, and South Maple Elementary School after school each day until 5:15 p.m.
• Applicants must be at least 16 years of age.
• Rate of pay: $13.50/hour.
