Jackson has an opportunity to be awarded an extra $500 if 50% of our students register online and take the challenge to do something for their heart. This does not require a financial donation!!!! Your child can choose to get moving more, choose water over a sugary beverage or do a kind deed daily!!Again NO FINANCIAL OBLIGATION REQUIRED.
Prizes will be given out on Monday and Thursday mornings from 8:30 to 8:45. Please remember do not send money to school until March 15th!!!
During prize pick up please have your child hand in a piece of paper/note with the character(s) that they are being rewarded. All monies are due on Friday the 15 of March.
We can do this! Thank you for your support!

Transition to Middle School
Dear 5th Grade Parents/Guardians,
Welcome to 2019, 2nd semester and your student’s last semester as an elementary student! Transition opportunities will be offered this spring to support the promotion to middle school. Traditionally in the Cedar Rapids Community School District, a student’s attendance zone elementary school determines their attendance zone middle school. This year your student has multiple options to consider for 6th grade! The CRCSD is excited to offer a variety of school choice for parents in addition to their attendance zone middle school, including two middle magnet schools.
See attachment for more details.
