KRMS Principal Update

November 4, 2021

Parent Update

Tomorrow marks the official last day of the first quarter. Here at KRMS we change our exploratory classes each quarter and we also shift the group of students that rotate to their core classes together. Both opportunities allow for students to continue to develop meaningful relationships with their classmates during their educational opportunities.

This year our KRMS staff will be participating in our annual Turkey basket drive. Below is more information about it; however, we are working with students and staff to collect can goods and put together 20 Thanksgiving Day baskets. With turkey donations from local sponsors, we hope to gather enough canned goods to have an another successful year for some of our families dealing with food insecurity.

Recently we have filled two of our professional teaching positions. In late September our new Art Teacher and most recently the school board accepted the nomination for one of our 7th grade science teachers. Please help me in welcoming Mrs. Allison O'Donnell (art) and Mrs. Stephanie Kerr (science) to the KRMS teaching ranks.

Parent Conferences this year are Monday, November 22nd - Tuesday, November 23rd. Please call the main office or reach out to your child's team leader to sign up for a conference if you have not done so already.

Information for registration is below, or you can follow the steps from this website: www.kingswoodathletics.org. Registration closes on November 5th.

Kingswood Athletic Boosters is in NEED of volunteers. Their next meeting is Monday, November 8th at 6pm in the lecture hall of the high school. They are looking for parents to assist with fundraising ideas to help support the Kingswood athletic programs.
