Girls Basketball Advances to State - February 28 at 3:15 PM.
Congratulations to the CCA Girls Basketball Team for making it to the state tournament. This is only the second time in program history the girls have gone to state and the first time since 2020.
High School Student Pep Bus
Thanks to a very generous donation from Jason Miller and Courts Fore Sports, there will be NO transportation fee for high school students riding the pep bus to watch the girls basketball team at the State Tournament in Des Moines. Students will only need to pay $10 for the cost of their game ticket at the time of sign up for the pep bus. The sign up "closes" at 3:30 on Friday, February 24.
The game is at 3:15 pm, February 28.

Mr. Macumber and Dr. Seymour hold a Special Community Meeting at Amana Elementary
The Amana community came together February 21 at the Amana Elementary to ask Mr. Macumber and Dr. Seymour questions about the changes for Amana Elementary.
Dr. Seymour will be holding Town Hall Meetings in Amana, Oxford, Tiffin and North Liberty in March.
Parent Elementary Report Card Feedback Opportunities
We are working to update our current elementary report cards for the 2023-2024 school year. We would love feedback from parents on what information would be most helpful on a report card to understand how your child is doing academically at school. There will be three opportunities to share feedback:
Complete a survey (will be sent out the week of March 6, 2023)

Congratulations and Good-Luck Performing at the Large Group All-State Festival!
FIRST EVER IN CCA HISTORY for bringing home the Musical Theatre Banner from All-State Speech!! The CCA Large Group Speech were the 2023 critic's choice for songs from Come From Away. Students performed Saturday at the Iowa High School Speech Association Competition in Ames.
Congratulations to all for an outstanding end to the speech season!
BEE Ready - The First District-Wide Elementary Spelling Bee is April 20th
Students in grades 3, 4 & 5 will come together to compete after they have successfully won their classroom and building Spelling Bees. The classroom and building Spelling Bees will be held will be during the month of March- contact your building principal for more information.

CCA Buildings and Grounds Team Win the Diamond Award
The CCA Buildings and Grounds Crew received the 2022 ISFMA Diamond of the Year Award at the Iowa Turfgrass Managers Conference in Des Moines. The award was for care of the High School Baseball Field!!
The purpose of this award is to recognize the excellence of sports fields maintained in Iowa. To show appreciation for the sports turf manager and staff’s efforts in leading the sports turf industry into the future.
CCA Staff Spotlight
CCA Esports Team Heads to State Competition March 3
Another exciting FIRST for CCA students. The High School ESports Team is in their first official season and has qualified for the state competition on March 3 in Des Moines.
Varsity Rocket League ESports won their first playoff game against Kennedy HS on February 15 in Rocket League, qualifying them for the State Championship against the top 8 teams in the state.
The club is sponsored by High School teacher Mr. Zorn and the four team participants include: Cade Mineart, Abe Banwart, Carson Cecak, Logan McMorran.
FFA Students Advance to Districts March 4
Clear Creek Amana FFA Competes at Sub-District FFA Contest
On February 20, 2023 17 members of the Clear Creek Amana FFA Chapter traveled to Montezuma High School to compete in the 2023 Northwest Sub-District FFA Competition. Students that competed today and advanced to the next level were Extemporaneous Speaking Delaney Bulecheck, Ag Sales Hannah Gross, Parliamentary Procedure Kelsey Leathers, Taylor Drake, Olivia Webb, Jackson Arndt and Sara Kinzenbaw. The Conduct of Meetings Team also advanced to Districts. The Conduct of Meetings Team students that participated were Avery Evans, Sadie Hebl, Colin Root, Wyatt Beard, Santiago Perez, Della Roehler and Sydney Pfeiffer. Marinda Phan earned a silver in the Job Interview contest. In prepared public speaking Ellie Evans earned a gold rating.
Congratulations for WaMaC individual Speech conference placements.
The WaMac Individual Speech contest was held at Benton Community School District.
