SCIENTIFIC REVOLUTION
SHAFAYET H. 3rd
What was the change?
The scientific revolution started when new ideas in physics, astronomy, biology, anatomy changed the way Europeans viewed the natural world. This all started when a man named Aristotle came up with the geocentric model(earth was in the middle and planets orbited it). They eventually prove he was wrong and then a man named Copernicus came up with the heliocentric model. After that,Johannes Kepler proves he is right. After all this, science began to rise.
WHO WAS ASSOCIATED WITH THE CHANGE?
Galileo
Galileo the Italian astronomer, has been called a founder of modern experimental science. In 1609, Galileo made the first effective use of the refracting telescope to discover important new facts about astronomy. he also discovered the law of falling bodies as well as the law of the pendulum. Galileo designed alot more of of scientific instruments.
Sir Isaac Newton
sir Isaac newton an English scientist, astronomer, and mathematician, invented a new kind of mathematics, discovered the secrets of light and color, and showed how the universe is held together. He is sometimes described as "one of the greatest names in the history of human thought " because of his great contributions to mathematics, physics, and astronomy.
Copernicus
A Polish astronomer, developed the theory that Earth is a moving planet. He claimed that Earth and the other planets revolve around the sun, which he considered to be motionless. Astronomers now know that the sun is just one of many stars orbiting the center of our galaxy. But Copernicus’s ideas about the roles of the sun and planets were essentially correct. Copernicus comes up with the heliocentric theory.(the sun is in the middle and the planets orbit it)
How did the change impact the society at the time?
the scientific revolution changed the society religiously. Before people believed in religion the most. But when the scientific revolution came up, the people started to doubt in their religious beliefs and religion. This happened because people belied in the church around that time. But the scientific revolution changed the way the people viewed things.
How is that change evidence in today's modern society?
the scientific revolution impacted our society in many ways.some ways are the way we discover new diseases. Also we find new cures for diseases.how scientist and we find new information.Even the things we use in class! And many other things, the scientific revolution impacted us majorly.
