Fresh Weekly Organic Produce

Blue Lotus OG

Baltimore's First Medicinal Urban Farm

Do you want farm fresh organic produce?

Do you want to support a local urban farmer?

Are you community orientated?

If you answered yes to all of the above then you are invited to our 2016 Lotus Box CSA!

What Is CSA?

Community Supported Agriculture:

Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) is a system of direct exchange between producers and consumers. The consumer buys a share in the farm's production at the beginning of the season, thus becoming a partner in the endeavor. In exchange, the farm commits to providing quality produce, usually harvested the day before, or even the same day.

How It Works:

By becoming a member of our CSA program you are able to have a fresh box of produce weekly for 7 months. In each Lotus box you can expect rare heirloom varieties of produce, mushrooms, flowers, and herbs. We overstand that our produce is unique and it may be challenging to prepare. To combat this issue we have assimilated a library of recipes that will be open to your use. We also thought it would be a bonus to send short YouTube videos making meals for individuals who aren't familiar with preparing heirloom foods. Members will have the choice of different payment options in exchange for fresh vegetables. The harvest season will begin late May and end in November.

We are partnered with the local Arab community to support and bring awareness to their heritage and history of Horsemanship in Baltimore City. To help spread the awareness, families and individuals living in the Downtown and or West Baltimore Region will have their Lotus box delivered by Horse and Buggy. There are two pick up locations for your Lotus box if you do not live within the parameters, Walter P Carter Rec Center and 1301 North Avenue. Since this is our first season we will only be offering 15-20 shares depending on family size. We hope you choose us to provide you with fresh, local, and medicinal produce this spring.

What are my payment options?

Paying large lump sums of money this day and age can be a burden, with that in mind we wanted to offer a couple of different payment plans to take the burden off your hands We offer a few payment options. We accept credit cards, checks, cash and money orders. We encourage payment in full because it helps us with startup costs and keeping the program running. However we understand that it isn't easy for everyone to pay for their share up front so we offer a seven month payment plan.
