Weekly Updates for Sept 26 - 30
Message from the Principal
We have two weeks left in the first 9 week grading period, which will end on Friday, 10/7/22. For those students involved in extra-curricular activities at this time, they must pass to be eligible based on their grades after 10/7/22. Please utilize the Family/Student Access portal to keep up with grades. This is a great resource available to all and you can even set alerts on the portal to get your own notifications.
Thank you to all the parents/guardians that were able to join us for the Open House PTSA Greenback night last Tuesday! It was great to see so many parents walk their students' schedule and Meet the Teachers!
Homecoming was a great week last week! Thank you to CTJ StuCo for their outstanding work with running the events of the week, homecoming court, and finishing off with a great homecoming dance Saturday night! StuCo officers, Mrs. Rogers, and Mr. Christie, along with numerous students and faculty volunteers put on a great week of events!
Please continue to check your email as almost all information to be shared is sent through email. We are looking forward to a great 2022-23 school year for our Jags!
Sincerely,
Gary Comalander - Principal

Boy meets girl. Sparks fly.
Boy meets girl’s family. What could go wrong?
Well, when the girl’s family includes an eccentric playwright, a ballet-dancing confectioner, a quirky, marimba-playing printer, and a couple of old men manufacturing fireworks in the basement, the possibilities are endless. Oh, and then there’s that whole issue with the IRS…
There will be more than sparks flying when the prim and proper Wall Street Kirby family comes to dinner at the Sycamore household. In fact, it’s going to be downright explosive.
Don’t miss the hilarious Pulitzer Prize-winning comedy, You Can’t Take It With You.
The shows runs from Thursday, September 29, through Sunday, October 2 at the Johnson High School Auditorium located at 23203 Bulverde Rd., San Antonio, TX 78259.
Thursday through Saturday showtime is 7:00 PM and Sunday is 2:00 PM. Tickets are $10-$15 and may be purchased online at www.johnsontheatre.com or at the door. For optimum seating availability it is recommended that you purchase in advance online.
