Aiming to Keep You Informed
November 16, 2018
From the Office
We started the week off hosting local Veterans in 6th grade, making paracord bracelets and collecting donations for Veterans exiting homelessness through Military Outreach USA. We are so thankful for the Veterans who were able to visit with us as well as all who serve. We are also proud of our students efforts in donation collections!
Parents: The 5 Essentials Survey is live and we would love your feedback! The 5 Essentials survey is administered by the Illinois State Board of Education and measures schools in 5
key areas: Effective Leaders, Collaborative Teachers, Involved Families, Supportive Environment, and Ambitious Instruction; it should take about 10 minutes to complete and is phone friendly! We really value your feedback and we encourage you to complete the survey by clicking the link above and type in "Dupage" and "Westfield Middle School". Thank you in advance for your time! Students and staff will also be sent a survey link after the break.
Please see the information below about our Honor Roll recognition for this grading period on December 6th. Parents and relatives of Honor Roll students are also invited to join us.
No school for students next week! Parents, we look forward to seeing you at Parent Teacher Conferences next Monday and Tuesday!

Honor Roll Recognition - December 6th
We will have our Honor Roll Breakfast on December 6th from 7:40am - 8:10am. Students who earn a 3.2 or higher GPA for the First Trimester, will be eligible to attend. Parents and relatives of Honor Roll students are also invited to join us! Our PTO will be providing coffee, juice, and treats in the Commons. The morning will include a performance by our Westfield Choir in our gym. Families and students will be able to choose their seating and may sit together. As part of the program, students will be invited to stand and be recognized for their achievement. At 8:15, students will be dismissed from the gym to go to their lockers and all parents and guests will be required to exit the building.
Students will be notified of their GPA in their report cards and will also receive their Honor Roll ribbons with the report card. Attending the Honor Roll breakfast is optional.
Congratulations to Sara Fabian for winning the International Peace Poster Contest and to to Kasandra Baylosis for winning the Westfield Holiday Card Contest!
