PARSONS FAMILY MOVIE UNDER THE STARS & INTERNATIONAL NIGHT
MARCH 10 at 5:30pm ~ Changed to indoors due to weather!
Come celebrate our diverse community and all the wonderful things our community does for our students. We encourage all students to come and participate in the International Night Parade and then eat dinner from one of the International Food Trucks. You are welcome to bring your own food/snacks to enjoy as well. We will start at 5:30 pm with a PTA meeting and International Parade and presentations in the Cafeteria. Then we will move to the gym for the movie. Bring a blanket to sit on and share with your family!
If you have any questions about the PTA or volunteer opportunities to help our school community, please email parsonsespta@gmail.com.

Dual Language Immersion Informational Parent Meeting for Rising Kindergarten
Do you have a rising kindergarten student for the 2023-2024 school year? Are you or anyone you know with a rising kindergarten student interested in Dual Language Immersion?
STEM Math Competition
The Department of Mathematics and Statistics at Georgia Gwinnett College would like to share a great opportunity for students interested in STEM. Georgia Gwinnett College is hosting the Sixth Annual Olifer Math Competition for students in grades 1-10 on Saturday, March 25, 2023. We are hoping that some students at Peachtree Ridge High School will participate.
This math competition is a celebration of future science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) majors. Children are natural problem solvers and like to think outside of the box. The problems used in this contest are designed to inspire them and encourage them to engage with this kind of thinking. It will be a different and unique experience from what children usually experience in the classroom. Solving problems and meeting other children in a collegiate environment will make this competition an unforgettable event.
The registration is $10 per participant and seats are limited. For each grade, the first three places at the competition will receive special math prizes and all participants will receive recognition for their participation. The flyer and some sample problems from previous years are attached. Here is a link for registration and QR code:

We are excited to announce that tandem Beanstack accounts with GCPS and GCPL are now live. *Important: The school and public library accounts must be linked from the web. AKS At Home
As part of Gwinnett County Public Schools’ family engagement initiative, the school district seeks to empower parents with tools that allow them to help their children at home. Our AKS at Home project provides math and language arts resources to support families of children in grades K-5 so that they truly are partners in their children’s learning. This support is available for families to access in the format that suits them and their schedule best. They can attend live virtual meetings, view recorded information, and gain tools and suggestions on how to best help their children through tip sheets on a wide variety of topics. Click the link for more information. https://www.gcpsk12.org/domain/13286

Does your child need help with a subject at school?
In partnership with the Gwinnett County Public Library (GCPL), GCPS provides Tutor.com as an online tutoring resource for students. The expert tutors at Tutor.com can help your student work through a tough homework problem, improve writing skills, study for a test, review a difficult concept, and so much more! Live tutoring support is available daily from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. In addition, students can receive “drop-off support,” 24-7, by uploading a document for tutor feedback that will be reviewed and returned at a later time. To learn more about how to access this resource and what is offered, click here.
