8th Grade Online Promotion and Event - Tuesday, May 22nd
Are you an 8th grader or a parent of an 8th grader from Tucson? AZVA and Insight has an online promotion on the 22nd of May. https://sas.elluminate.com/m.jnlp?sid=559&password=M.3D81EAC85556DF94245432ADF21F62.
There is also an outing to Big Surf in Phoenix on the same day from 10am-4pm. We will have a celebration at the water park and a small gift (while supplies last) for those promoting 8th graders from Tucson. Just bring a copy of your current grades to prove you are in 8th grade and will be promoted to 9th grade (proof via a smart phone works too!) If you have room in your car and would like to help carpool or need a ride, contact Alison Frye 1-520-955-4563, and she will try to connect parents so everyone can go. Remember, all students must have a parent, LC, or designated adult to go! Tickets are $14.00 a person and can be purchased here:

End of the Year is Almost Here!
- Making sure he/she is turning in quality TGAs (Teacher Graded Assignments) by the due date the teacher has given.
- Have your child take notes on lessons that are lower grades, and then have he/she retry the quiz or test. (Tests are worth more points so they will bump up a student's grades faster.)
- Ask the teacher for extra tries or help! (Not all teachers will give extra tries depending on the circumstance, how long ago it was due, etc., but it never hurts to ask!)
- Use Classcraft to give points to your child for meeting the goals that you both have decided need to happen in order to be successful at school, and even at home!
- Work from home when the TBLC is closed and on the weekends to make up extra work!
