Dear Parents/Guardians,
With the start of the school year in just two weeks, we are reaching out to provide some reminders for the upcoming school year. We will be sharing additional information early next week with Superintendent Dr. Heinz's Welcome to the 2022-23 School Year Newsletter, so keep an eye out for more information and exciting updates next week.
Have a nice evening,

Teacher Assignments to be posted on Thursday, August 4 after 4:00 pm
Every summer students anxiously await their teacher assignment(s)--the time is almost here! Assignments will be available in Infinite Campus after 4:00 pm tomorrow, Thursday, August 4, 2022. Please note that the rollout of this information does take some time so if you do not see your student’s information immediately, please give it some time and check back again. The system has crashed in the past due to many people logging in at the same time, so please be patient. Should you have trouble signing into IC, please contact your school for support. If you haven’t created an IC account, please make sure to do so.
Bus route information will also be available in IC beginning tomorrow. Please note that slight adjustments may need to be made between now and the start of school, so we ask that you check back closer to the beginning of the school year to confirm you have the most up-to-date information.
Infinite Campus Parent Portal
Infinite Campus' Campus Parent is designed to provide parents real-time access to student information. The easy-to-use design displays what is currently happening in the classroom so you can understand, monitor, and participate in your child’s educational experience.
This portal also provides parents access to check for teacher placement and student schedules once their student is registered. District 15 has also used IC to gather parent survey responses. Make sure you have your account set up for the new school year! To learn how to set up your account, watch tutorials, or access a help center, please visit our website.
Re-registration Reminder - EVERYONE Must Re-Register
If you have already registered your child for the 2022-23 school year, thank you - your child has been sectioned into a classroom at the elementary level or a junior high schedule has been created and no further action is required.
If you have not registered, please do so today. We have close to 11,500 students and need to make sure we know who is returning to school, that they are enrolled in a classroom/team, and that we have updated contact information for everyone within our schools. From a safety perspective, it is a must! Please do your part as a parent/guardian and register your children for the 2022-23 school year. Not returning? Have you notified your school?
If you have not already started the registration process for your child(ren), please visit our registration page to begin.
Reminder: Residency Verification (new students and kindergarten) and Re-Verification (Grades 4 and 7)
We want to remind our families with incoming Kindergarten, rising fourth, and seventh graders of our residency verification process. If you have not yet provided proof of residency at your child(ren)’s school, please do so as soon as possible so your child(ren) is able to start school on the first day of school.
Reminder - Meals for 2022-23 School Year
As a result of the federal government deciding not to reissue the waiver that allowed us to provide free breakfast and lunch to our students during the pandemic, not all District 15 schools will be able to offer free breakfast and lunch this school year.
The following schools are eligible to participate in the National School Breakfast and School Lunch Programs called the Community Eligibility Provision (CEP). For the 2022-2023 school year, schools that are eligible for free meals through their schoolwide CEP status, based on federally outlined criteria, are as follows:
Free & Reduced-Price Meal Application
We need parents who qualify to fill out a Free & Reduced Meal Application for the upcoming school year, regardless if your school is a CEP school or not. The application provides families with the eligibility for school fee waivers as well as other benefits.
Income eligibility information and FAQs for the Free & Reduced-Price Meal Program can be found on our website. Applications can be submitted at any time during the school year. Households should answer all applicable questions in the form. Applications that do not contain all the required information will not be processed or approved.
SchoolCafé
District 15 uses SchoolCafé for meal payments and to apply online for meal benefits. The online payment plan is an enhancement to the District’s existing pre-pay meal program. Cash and checks are still accepted, but SchoolCafé allows parents to make secure payments with Visa, MasterCard, or Discover Cards for school meals. SchoolCafé also allows parents to check on student account balances, student purchases, and see low balance notifications online.
The SchoolCafé app is available for download. You can download the SchoolCafé app today on the AppStore or Google Play. You can view the SchoolCafé Quick Card for instructions on setting up your account, adding students, making payments, and setting up low-balance alerts. Search for Community Consolidated School District 15 to find our District.
