Conflict

The Conflict of this story was person versus person. In particular it was Cinder versus Levana.

"I ask that you, citizens of Luna, be that army. You have the power to fight against Levana and the people that oppresses you." Pg. 314

Plot

Event #1 Cinder returns to Luna

Event #2 Scarlet who had been captured earlier in the series, Jacin and Winter remain in the palace

Event #3 Cinder and Wolf are captured by Levana

Event #4 Scarlet and Winter visit a wolf den and recruit more Luna wolf soldiers to fight against Levana

Event # 5 Cinder and Wolf escape from Levana and join up with the force converging on Levana.

Event #6 the rebels clear the blockade into Artemisia to get to Levana

Event #7 the Rebels enter Artemisia and surround the Palace. The battle begins.

Obstacle

Queen Levana is trying to stop Cinder from taking her throne. "My name is Selene Blackburn. I am the daughter of the late Queen Channary, niece to Princess Levana, and the rightful heir to the throne." Pg. 314

Another obstacle was Cinder's self doubt. "Had she failed to convey how important that it was that they all stand up, unified and resolute? Had she failed?" pg. 317

Climax

The Climax of the story was when Selene's and Levana's armies met in Artemisia. This is the climax because the result of this will determine who wins, Selene or Levana. It is also the most action packed part of the story.

Theme

The main theme of this story/series was to never give up. Cinder had been forced into many difficult situations where she could have thrown in the towel: however, she didn't and you will have to read the book to see if it pays off or not.

"Her right leg gave out first, too tired for one more kick. She managed to do one more desperate kick. Then she broke the surface of the water." Pg. 463

Read this book.

This was one of the best books I have ever read. It has a little something for all of us to enjoy. It has love, drama, and action. What more could you want from a book/ Not only that, it is a page turner. Once you start reading, you never want to stop. This book may be 800 pages, but in the blink of an eye, you can be 100 pages farther from when you began.
