EJMS Jaguar Weekly Sept. 12 - 16
Keeping our School Community in the Know
From Principal Pickerill's Pen🖋
EJMS Families,
I hope everyone had a wonderful week! Somehow we have already completed five weeks of school.
Morning Arrival
Reminder that the doors to the school do not open until 8:30 and we do not have staff members able to supervise until that time. Please help us make sure that everyone is properly supervised by not dropping off your child until 8:30.
Please note that the main entrance is only for staff - our Safety Officer will only allow those staff members with a car tag through in the mornings. All car drop off traffic must enter the Red Oak entrance.
Midterms and Accessing Grades through IC Parent Portal
The first Nine Weeks Midterm ended this past week and midterm grade reports will be available through Parent Portal on Wednesday, September 14th.
Do you need help with Infinite Campus Parent Portal? Don’t know how to check on your child’s grades? Check out this IC Parent Portal Grades Doc.
iReady Reports
On Friday 9/9/22 all students completed iReady Goal Setting in their Core Connections class. You can access the iReady Data tracking slides here to get more information. Also, students will be bringing home a copy of their math and reading Diagnostic Report. Please read through this information and talk to your child about their scores, sign the Diagnostic Reports, and have them bring it back to school on Monday.

Students (and families), you can put in helpdesk tickets now for Chromebook issues. Here's how:
1) You will enter the information in our helpdesk ticket system (just for students and their families)
2) Once your information has been entered, you need to take your Chromebook to the grade level lead for Chromebook care. (6th grade - Michael Dobie, 7th grade Leighann Switzer, 8th grade Sabrina Miracle)
3) Your grade level lead will give you a loaner Chromebook and take care of getting your Chromebook to our district IT support. You will need to turn in this loaner Chromebook at the end of each day and get it back each morning.
4) You will receive your Chromebook back once it has been repaired.
** Reminders: if the issue was an accident due to neglect or was intentional damage, you will be responsible for paying the Chromebook charge. If you have paid the school fee of $50, this should cover a first incident.
We want YOU for an EJMS Committee!
