Mr. Glover's Weekly Update
September 10th, 2023
Mr. Glover's Message
I hope you are all having a wonderful and glorious Grandparents Day!! Yes, today Sunday September 10th, is the official date for Grandparents Day. We celebrate National Grandparents Day on the first Sunday after Labor Day. This year, the date falls on September 10. Like Mother’s day and Father’s day we also have a whole day dedicated to our grandparents. Grandparents and children have a special connection that is proven to both make grandparents live longer, and also make children more emotionally resilient. Grandparents Day is an opportunity to treasure that connection and spend some quality family time together. If you are fortunate to have one or all of your grandparents in your lives, please make sure to take the time to acknowledge and thank them for the positive presence in your life.

Vandalism Assistance from Families
Last week we had an extreme incident of vandalism in one of our restrooms on campus. As much of an inconvenience as this can be for our entire school by community, this also is a huge blemish on our entire school population, in regard to our core values. We can all acknowledge that this type of behavior is not exhibited by all of our students, but we as a community must make sure that these types of incidents are not just brushed away as coincidence or happenstance. We are asking for your help in educating your children into assisting us to address this concern. If you could share with your children that if they are witness to these types of actions or have seen any of these incidents of vandalism (or other inappropriate behavior) on campus to please inform a trust of adults. This is the only way that we will be able to properly and effectively address these isolated incidents on campus.
We thank you again for your cooperation and support.

Parking and Traffic Updates
Thank you everyone for your patience during the construction of the solar panel project at our school. Last week the fencing at the parking lot adjacent to the MPR was removed. This will allow for additional parking spaces for our educators that will allow us to open our blacktop areas for the students. Additionally, we will be making some changes to the flow of traffic for the morning drop-off of students. Beginning Monday, we will have parents drop off students next to the MPR. There will be a plan that will show the path of travel through the parking lot for the new drop off location. Please refrain from student drop-off directly in front of the school or off-loading in the RED ZONED AREAS.
To avoid any congestion, while we are in our limited reopening of the parking lot, I would suggest arriving at school before 7:30am on M,T, TH & F and by 8:50am on Wednesdays.
Thank you all again for your continued support.
