6th grade TEKs and Tech
A Unique Learning Experience for Social Studies teachers
This day and a half, content-rich academy is an opportunity just for 6th grade Contemporary World teachers.
In this Academy, participants will:
- examine social studies process skills
- look at 2014 STAAR process skill results for your campus correlate to 21st Century Skills
- target an upcoming unit to embed process skills into learning standards
- learn Appleās iWork suite and iMovie
- design a plan for making learning visible
- create a sustainable lesson plan ready to take back and use at the end of the session
- be part of a Google+ community to build connections with 1:X teachers
All Contemporary World teachers are encouraged to attend to promote growth and support to one another.
When: Choose one of the two sessions:
Tuesday, April 28, 2015 8:15 am to 11:15 am or 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm
(teachers are encouraged to share a sub on Tuesday)
and Wednesday, April 29 8:15 am to 4:15 pm
