You received information this week that our K-2 students may have the opportunity to return to school for a half day of Hybrid learning in April. Linked below is a video highlighting the key points of the Hybrid model at this point in time.
Next week you will receive a survey to inform the school district if you will choose for your child or children to attend Hybrid or remain home in comprehensive distance learning. This survey is required. Please look for the survey in your email on Monday, February 1.
Here are a few questions I anticipate you will be wondering about:
- At this time we do not know the start and stop times for the am and pm sessions. We will get that information out as soon as it has been determined.
- It is not possible for us to share which students are in AM and which students are in PM sessions for hybrid. This will be confirmed once we know how many students select hybrid and we can even out the numbers in the sessions.
- All students from the same family in the same school will be assigned to the same AM or PM hybrid session.
Please watch the video and read through the Hybrid FAQ document linked below. If your question is not answered, please feel free to email me your question.

Music and PE Supply Kits
Hi Elmonica families! Our parent club has generously worked together with Mrs. McNamee and our music and PE specialist team to fund and put together music and PE kits for all Elmonica students! Next week you can come to Elmonica on Wednesday or Friday between 8:30 AM and 4:00 PM to pick up your child's kit if you haven't already received it. The kits will be organized under the covered area of the playground by grade level/teacher and are labelled with students' names. Please be sure to only touch your child's kit and maintain six feet of distance from anyone else who may be picking up a kit. In order to minimize potential crowding, we are asking that if you are picking up a kit for a K-2 student please try to come between 8:30 and 12:00, and if you are picking up a kit for a 3-5 student please try to come between 12:00 and 4:00. If you are unable to collect your child's kit during these days/times please contact one of our music or PE specialists.
