Fall Harvest Parties
We are excited to be able to host classroom parties this year! To mitigate the spread of COVID, we will be following the guidelines that are outlined below:
The Fall Harvest Party celebration will not include the costume parade. There are several reasons behind this decision. The first is that students change into their costumes at school and we cannot guarantee safe distancing during this process. Secondly, students typically switch classrooms and/or use the restrooms to change into their costumes. This process would impede our ability to conduct accurate contact tracing should we have a positive case in the building. We understand that this information may be disappointing to hear, but our focus must remain on mitigating risk in any way possible to keep students safe and in school.
Please note that classroom parties will still take place but food will not be consumed during parties. Some goody bags may be sent home, depending on the planning done by room parents. Food will be selected according to reported allergies in the classroom.
Limited volunteers will support the parties if requested by the classroom teacher. In most cases, the volunteers will be the room parents. We asking all volunteers who come into the building to please wear a mask.
