Metals
Metals are good conductors of heat and electricity, so if you want to finish a circuit you can add a piece of metal and the circuit is finished. Most metals are also ductile (that means that they can be drawn into thin wires)The luster of metal is shiny. Metals have a high melting point.
Non-metals
Non-metals are not shiny they are the total opposite they are very dull. They are poor conductors of heat and electricity. Non-metals are brittle they break very easily. Non-metals are not brittle.
Metalloids
Metalloids can be shiny like metals or dull like non-metals. They are solids they are not gas or liquids. They conduct heat and electricity better than non-metals but not as good as metals. Non-metals are malleable.
