Anne Wien Announcements
School Newsletter for Week of March 15, 2021
Dear Anne Wien Elementary Families,
Welcome back to school! We hope you all had an AWEsome Spring Break! With the added sunlight glistening off of all of the snow, the spring days always become so noticeably brighter at this time of year. After a week of staying up later and sleeping in later, though, along with yesterday's Daylight Saving Time causing us to lose an hour of sleep, my own family sure did struggle with getting up for school again today, so thank you all for getting your River Otters up and out of the house on time this morning. That was NOT an easy task! We worked on getting back into school routines today as we started 4th Quarter and are looking to a strong final 9 weeks of school!
Sincerely,
Michael Angaiak
Principal, Anne Wien Elementary

Register for school for this year AND NEXT YEAR
Also, we're encouraging all families to register for school NOW for NEXT school year. Anne Wien has a typical enrollment of 400 students but we are currently just under 300 students. If this holds through the fall, this would mean a loss of 4 classroom teachers next school year and a loss of other activities and programs. Registering for school now will allow our school district to solidly plan for next school year. Thank you for helping to get the word out to your friends and neighbors!

We wish a very happy birthday to the following Anne Wien students and staff this week:
Lillian - Kindergarten
Penelope - 1st Grade
&
Mrs. Schultz - Speech & Language Pathologist
Mrs. Bodily - 6th Grade Teacher
Mrs. Archuleta - Behavior Intervention Aide
Safety Lessons starting this week
