Monthly Memo from the Principal

Mrs. Robbins- May 2022

How can it be MAY already???

I tell new teachers all of the time, "it is all a downhill slide after Spring Break", but this year has been in hyper warp speed in my opinion. It is hard to believe we are already talking about the end of school and summer plans. I have a senior and it is a bit surreal. We have ordered the announcements, senior pictures, cap and gown, all of the things...and I STILL can't believe it is really happening. I am looking forward to the next few weeks and all of the fun that they will bring.

I am proud of each and every one of our students at Pleasant Hill Elementary. As an adult, I have learned so much from them. They love and appreciate people in ways that we don't always experience as an adult. And for that, I am very thankful. Looking forward to a strong finish from everyone!

The last day of school is Thursday, May 26 and it is an early-release day. We get out of school at 11:40 AM and we WILL NOT be serving lunch on that day.

Please let us know if you have any questions or need anything!

Last day of school- Thursday, May 26th!! We will release at 11:40 AM- NO LUNCH that day!

Have you registered your PK or Kindergarten student? Spread the word! #get2PHE

Register your NEW student(s) for PK, Kindergarten, etc. all in one place:

Please don't wait! Our staffing for enrollment starts now and we want the BEST teachers we can find. When enrollment numbers are low, we may have to lose valuable staff. Late registration can equal late hiring and splitting classes after school has started. Help us prevent that from happening! Spread the word! #get2PHE

The current classroom ratios will be in place for next year. They are as follows:

PK- 18:1

Kindergarten- 22:1

First grade- 22:1

Second grade- 22:1

Third grade- 22:1

Fourth grade- 22:1

Fifth grade- 27:1

Please return your books!

All library books are due to Ms. Green by Monday, May 16th so they can be collected and inventoried. Please contact Ms. Green with any library book questions.

All guided reading (small books, readers, chapter books, etc.) from your child's teacher are due by Friday, May 13th. Please see your teacher if you have any questions.

We LOVE and APPRECIATE our PHE teachers!
