A Heartfelt Thanks to Mrs. Angela Fisher!
We are proud to announce that Mrs. Angela Fisher has accepted the role of LSTC (Local School Technology Coordinator) at Minor Elementary. We are saddened to see such a great teacher, wonderful colleague, and phenomenal friend go, but we are thrilled that she will be pursuing her passion in technology while continuing to impact the leaders of tomorrow.

Our Learning This Month
Science: We will investigate how sound is produced and how it can be varied by changing the rate of vibration.
Math: We will continue working on fractions and introduce decimals.
Reading, Writing & Language Arts: We will explain the major differences between poems, drama, and prose. We will describe the overall structure (e.g., chronology, comparison, cause/effect, problem/solution) of events, ideas, concepts, or information in a text or part of a text. We will explain how an author uses reasons and evidence to support particular points in a text. In writing, we will use precise language and domain-specific vocabulary to inform about or explain a topic.

2016 is almost here!
We look forward to welcoming you back! I hope you enjoy your much needed break. It’s hard to believe that half the year is almost completed! We are excited to have you back on Wednesday, January 6th ready to learn!
We appreciate all the support and would love your continued assistance in having our students read nightly and practice their math facts. We also would love for you to continue checking their agendas and eClass daily.
