Harris Weekly Update
AUGUST 9-AUGUST 13
Happy Saturday!
Thanks to all for making the first week of school incredible. The Harris Team was so happy to see all of our Hawks return home and we cannot wait to get your child(ren) back up to speed academically. We also want to acknowledge and thank our Harris community for all you do in an effort to be the best we can. We can't do it without you!
See below for quick announcements:
-Remember with the first full week of school beginning next week parents will need to work out times to be on campus with their homeroom teacher.
-Parents will not be allowed inside the building without prior approval. Safety for our children must remain top priority.
-The side entrance door will now be closed and locked at 7:55 AM beginning Monday and for the remainder of the school year.
-If you arrive after 7:55 AM, students will enter through the front office door.
-Students are tardy after 8:10 AM, so don't worry about walking students into the building until after 8:10 AM.
-Handicap Parking is for those that either have a designated plate or sticker prominently displayed. DO NOT park in this zone if you do not have a plate or sticker.
Required Annual Update
New Quarantine Process
This year we continue to find ways to ensure we can communicate with our parents in a timely and efficient manner, in an effort to keep our parents as informed as possible. Please note, this school year student quarantine notifications will continue to be sent out via email, and we will be adding text messages to alert you to the fact that you have received an email. You will only receive a text with regard to a student quarantine notification that specifically involves your student. If you have any questions regarding mitigation strategies, including quarantine procedures, please visit our district website. Thank you for your continued support.

What Does It Mean To Be A Title I School?
Title I is the largest federal aid program for public schools. Schools can be designated as “Title I” if certain criteria are met. Title I is the federal government’s commitment to closing the achievement gap between low-income and moderate to high income students. These funds are used to help all students meet academic standards. Click the links below to learn more!
