  • Both the Mayans and the Aztecs grew maize, squash, and beans.
  • Both the Aztecs and the Inca were Polytheistic.
  • Both the Mayans and the Inca had a single ruler that was supported by nobles.


  • Chichen Itza and Tikal were important cities for the Mayans ,but Tenchtitlan was important for the Aztecs.
  • Chinampas were an important part of agriculture for the Aztecs ,but step terraces were important to the Inca.
  • The Inca were know for their metalworking ,but the Mayans were known for their farming along river banks.
