Phillipsburg Elementary School
October 2019
Happy October!!
This month we have many activities planned for our PES students.
All classrooms have been paired with a Business Buddy here in Phillipsburg. The students will be preparing artwork that will be displayed during the months of October, November, and December! The students are always excited to go see their artwork proudly displayed!
Our 2nd-4th Graders have been attending the PCED TechSpace. The PCED TechSpace project was designed to supplement and enhance resources for STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering & Math) based learning. Our students have been enjoying this learning opportunity that has been made available by PCED.
The Kindergarteners will get a first hand experience riding on the Fire Truck on October 11th. The students will also get to visit with some of our local firemen and learn more about their job as firefighters! Fire Prevention Week runs from October 6th-12th.
The 1st Graders will be attending their annual Pumpkin Patch outing in Kirwin on October 24th. This is a much loved event for our 1st graders. They will get to participate in many activities throughout the morning and then enjoy a sack lunch at the Pumpkin Patch.
On October 29th, our 4th Graders will be holding their annual music program at 2:45 in the PES Gym. The students will entertain us with their seasonal music selections while dressing for the occasion! This is always a fun program to watch!
