Mariner Weekly

March 22, 2021

Good Morning Mariners!

Good morning as we enter our second week of four day instruction. It was so good to see life in the building again last week. I have always that our students are the heartbeat of our school and this was so evident in the smiles of our students and staff from Monday through Thursday.

As we move forward, we all must continue to be vigilant in keeping social distant and practicing safety protocols. By doing this individually, we will all be able to keep close contact exposures to a minimum as we move closer to "normal". As always, thank you for your efforts towards this end.

MENTAL HEALTH MONDAY

Enjoy this morning's announcement created by HS North's CAP student, Molly Herr. Please follow our student representatives from each high school on Instagram @trrs_mentalhealth.

Music can be used as an outlet to relieve stress. One of my favorite things to listen to when I am stressed, upset, mad, and especially when preparing for a big game. There are many different types of music, such as jazz, rock and roll, dance, hip hop, blues, country, and classical. Along with the different types of music comes different artists and styles. For example, if you and your friend both like country music, it doesn't mean you both have to like Luke Combs. My advice is to do something or find something that you like and makes you feel good when you are sad, happy, mad, or confused. It depends on how I am feeling for what kind of music and artist I want to listen to at that time. Music is a huge part of how I have connected with so many people, people who I call my friends, even best friends. It brings people closer together and brings out different feelings and emotions when together.
