AUBURN Offers VIRTUAL STUDENT PANELS!
Good Afternoon,
I hope you are all adjusting well to the virtual world we are currently living in. As we continue to move forward with the uncertainty of when we will be able to get back to campus and offer on-campus tours and events, we are creating ways for students to still have the opportunity to learn more about Auburn University and have their questions answered. Starting next Tuesday, April 21st, we will have our first Virtual Student Panel. The panel will consist of four current student recruiters and one Admissions Advisor to moderate. Our hope is that students will still get the personal connection with our campus and current students all while being in the comfort of their own home.
We will be offering Virtual Student Panels every Tuesday and Thursday at 12 Noon (Central Time). Registration for the next 3 weeks is already available on our website, and future dates are being determined as we speak.
***We are also hoping to hold an online event that would offer insight to your students from offices all across our campus. As the planning continues with this and becomes finalized, I will inform you of the information to register for the event.
I hope you are all staying safe and well. Please do not hesitate to reach out with any questions about Virtual Opportunities at Auburn University.

Important Announcement about Mississippi State Orientation
Dear Counselor,
Due to health concerns surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic, all MSU Orientation sessions will be offered virtually this year. Please watch this video for important information regarding our plans for Orientation this summer.
It is still important for your students to sign up for the Orientation session that works best for their schedule, as this is when they will register for classes. We will also have a variety of virtual activities and live sessions for students and parents to participate in on the days leading up to, and on the day of, their Orientation session.
Virtual Orientation is $40 to participate. This fee includes any guests who would also like to participate, so we would encourage parents or guardians to also sign up! You can learn more about our plans for Orientation at orientation.msstate.edu.
While we will miss the excitement of having new students on campus for Orientation this year, we are looking forward to having them on campus soon!
Hail State!

College Admissions Status Updates
NACAC’s College Admission Status Update is a central resource of information about changes in college admission as a result of the coronavirus outbreak.
The chart below includes information provided to NACAC by colleges and universities worldwide. You’ll find information on each institution’s plans and policies for admission events; for consideration of high school transcripts and standardized test scores; for decision and deposit dates; for summer and fall semester plans; and more.
This resource was first released on March 17. It was updated on April 20 with additional questions and responses from institutions. To use this resource:
- Select the “+” symbol next to any category in the chart below to narrow the results.
- To sort alphabetically by college, click on "Institutions."
- To view a particular college's information, click on that institution’s name in the left column. Their results will appear in the right column.
This tool is updated within one business day as new responses are received. To export a copy of these results, click on the three elipses in the upper right corner of this downloadable version.
Our thanks to the many institutions who are participating in this initiative to support counselors, students, families, and the profession as a whole as we grapple with substantial disruptions in the academic year.
