Economic Boom, Why, Where, How?

Great Britain
There are a few different ways that Britain was able to pioneer the way for industrialization. One side of these was the natural advantages such as an abundant source of iron, water, and coal. Water helped to drive water mills, iron was used to make more durable parts, and coal was used to power steam engines in the second half of the industrial revolution. Politically, the royal power was weakened which opened up room for middle class people to make some money. They did this by backing new inventions and mechanical improvements.

Spread of Industrialization
Japan was the first of the Asian nations to become industrialized. After the restoration of imperial power in 1868, Emperor Mutsuhito sent Japanese scholars to study Western industry. While studying in England and other western countries, the scholars quickly made Japan into a highly efficient industrial nation. Japan became wealthy off of their new industry. Also, Russia was affect as well. After the Russian Revolution in 1917, the Communist leaders wanted to gain control of agriculture and production. In 1928 the First Five Year Plan went into effect. Its goal was to turn the nation from an agricultural to an industrial one. Under a lot of five-year plans, the Soviet Union became second only to the United States as an industrial power.
