AVID Revalidation for Demonstration School
2018-2019 is our year to Revalidate as a Demonstration School. There will be a Mock visit followed by the Validation Visit one month later. These dates have not been set. If you have any documentation on the goals below, you can share it with me. These are the goals AVID set for Oakwood in 2016.
Goals for Continued Improvement:
1. Develop a common system for the use of organizational tools including binders and agenda/planners articulated across grade levels and content areas. Consider the7th-12th grade expectations to create intentional vertical articulation.
2. Review and refine focused note-taking, teaching all of the steps. Identify the gaps in information processing by examining actual Oakwood student notes and work in order to provide instruction to teachers and students to refine the gaps.
McDermott's Tech Tip
As we begin to work in Schoology on our campus,
our first order of business is to make sure that you can log in without any trouble.
Please click the link below and log in using
your district username (NOT email address) and password.
If you have any trouble, please contact your campus CTF so that they can troubleshoot the issue!
As you begin to explore, you may make a test course, but please do not do anything with courses that you currently have.
