Office Information

Car Pick-up Line

Please follow the established traffic pattern when picking your child up after school. Picking your child up in the parking spaces puts your child and other drivers in danger. If you have a special situation, on occasion, please contact the office and we can come up with a plan to get your child to you more quickly, but in a safe manner.

February 26, the JMS Polar Plunge team will take part in the 2023 Petersburg Polar Plunge at Prides Creek. The JMS Plunge team consists of Mr. Hubster, Mr. Giesler, Mr. Jahn, Mr. Zink, Mr. Wolf, Mr. Brescher, Mr. Mundy, Mr. Siebert, and Mr. Siebert’s son, Grant. The Polar Plunge is designed to raise funds and awareness for Indiana Special Olympics. The Dubois County Special Olympic teams consist of the swim, track and field, and bocce ball teams. Money raised by the JMS Polar Plunge team will directly support the Dubois County Teams.

JMS students, staff and families will have three opportunities to donate to this wonderful cause.

Ice Bath Challenge – Students will have an opportunity Feb 20-24 during lunch to donate to their favorite JMS Polar Plunge team member. Each team member will have a bucket for students to donate. The staff member with the most money will plunge into an ice bath at the next JMS pep rally. Each day students donate they can enter for a chance to take the ice bucket challenge as well.

Car Line Donations – Family and friends will have the opportunity to donate. The Plunge team will be collecting donations in the am and pm car line one day the week before the plunge.

Reality Store - 7th Graders

Every year, JMS 7th Graders take part in an exercise that allows them to experience "real-life." They get to see how a paycheck is quickly used up by mortgages or rent, car payments, medical bills, insurance, taxes, and other daily expenses. In order to provide this experience, we need volunteers! Please click on the Sign Up Genius link to see what time slots are available.

From the Dubois County Health Department:

In response to the Indiana Department of Health and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recommendations, The Dubois County Health Department (DCHD) will be holding a vaccination clinic for HPV at Jasper Middle School during school hours. This is a great opportunity for busy parents, and for students to get up to date on their vaccines. Please see the attached information letters and registration forms in English and Spanish.

Welcoming Wildcats

A new group has been started at JMS to help with two specific missions: 1) to provide students who are new to our school with a welcome gift that includes a few Jasper spirit pieces and 2) to help students throughout the year who need clothing items provided for them. Our first initiative is to help get more spirit wear out to people . . . parents, siblings, grandparents, students . . . so that everyone has a chance to show their Jasper pride. We have set up an online store for people to purchase from. A portion of all sales will go into the Welcoming Wildcats fund. Additionally, on the store is a DONATE button where people can simply donate to our mission if they don’t want to purchase anything or in addition to their purchase. Please check out the online store at THIS LINK. Or, see the attached flyer. There are items at various price points, quality, and name brands.
