February 26, the JMS Polar Plunge team will take part in the 2023 Petersburg Polar Plunge at Prides Creek. The JMS Plunge team consists of Mr. Hubster, Mr. Giesler, Mr. Jahn, Mr. Zink, Mr. Wolf, Mr. Brescher, Mr. Mundy, Mr. Siebert, and Mr. Siebert’s son, Grant. The Polar Plunge is designed to raise funds and awareness for Indiana Special Olympics. The Dubois County Special Olympic teams consist of the swim, track and field, and bocce ball teams. Money raised by the JMS Polar Plunge team will directly support the Dubois County Teams.
JMS students, staff and families will have three opportunities to donate to this wonderful cause.
Ice Bath Challenge – Students will have an opportunity Feb 20-24 during lunch to donate to their favorite JMS Polar Plunge team member. Each team member will have a bucket for students to donate. The staff member with the most money will plunge into an ice bath at the next JMS pep rally. Each day students donate they can enter for a chance to take the ice bucket challenge as well.
Car Line Donations – Family and friends will have the opportunity to donate. The Plunge team will be collecting donations in the am and pm car line one day the week before the plunge.
