MES NEWS
Here's what's happening at Milan Elementary School
Finishing up the year with lots of learning and lots of fun!
The next week was just as busy starting out with a Spring Book Fair on Monday, Trucker Buddy visits to our second grade classes, Making Strides Against Cancer walk, a program on energy conservation for everyone in K-2, the Farm Fit tour for Grade 2 to learn about healthy foods, and the installation of some beautiful new graphics on our entry doors to enhance school safety.
Finally, the last few days brought a Barbershop Quartet type musical group to entertain us during lunch, the Silly Safari visited to teach us about animals and their habitats, swim races for some friendly competition between classrooms, a visit from the folks at the Milan Library to tell about their summer programs, our annual Awards Day to recognize all of our hard-working students and finally, the grand finale, the PTO Carnival and Cook-Out! It was a fabulous, fun week and a wonderful way to start the summer!
Thank you to everyone who helped make the Month of May a magical, memorable time!
