Frenship High School Newsletter
Back to School - August, 2018
Principal's Message
Dear Frenship High School Parents and Students,
Hello, Tigers! We hope that this Back to School newsletter finds everyone rested and that you spent this summer making memories to last a lifetime. We are thrilled to be starting the 2018-2019 school year in just a few days.We lost a few familiar faces at FHS but replaced them with quality teachers to join our fantastic faculty.
I am going to ask parents who drop off their students in the morning not to drop off your child behind the building between the CTE building and the rear main entrance. We will be blocking the driveway between the two buildings in the near future that will not allow you to drive through. We are adjusting a few of the things we do to add some additional safety and security measures to our school. We apologize about the inconvenience but keeping your students safe and providing an optimal learning environment is our number one goal. The two areas you may drop off your students are in front of the main entrance labeled 1 or the South entrance labeled 7.
If you are dropping off lunches for your child they must be taken to the main or south entrances.
As the excitement and chaos of starting a new school year approaches, we all know how busy everyone’s schedules start to get. With that said, we want to make sure to share with you some important upcoming dates for Frenship High School:
Monday, August 20: Senior Sunrise (6:30 am) - Seniors and their parents...come join us at Peoples Bank Stadium to enjoy your last first day of high school. We'll do letters to your future self, enjoy donuts and watch the sunrise together as the Class of 2019!
Monday, August 20: The First Day of School - Students will check rosters located at the main office, south office or counseling suite to find their reporting room for schedule distribution. This will take place at at 9 AM and all students are required to attend, even those with outs first period. If you are still a bit unfamiliar with our campus, and are unsure as to where classrooms are located, don’t fret! We will have staff members and administrators strategically positioned all over campus to help you get to where you need to go!
