Celebrations
We have two new staff members in the front office to assist you.
Administrative Intern: Sarah Boyle - sarah.boyle@pfisd.net
She is also a good contact regarding discipline, and questions you would contact the principal for. It is a good idea to copy Mrs. Boyle on emails sent to Mrs. Rebecek, and Mr. Tristan. With the three of us working together, we can be even more responsive!
Sr. Administrative Associate: Mike Hill - michael.hill@pfisd.net
He is your primary contact to schedule appointments with Mrs. Rebecek.
We Appreciate Your Cooperation and Patience As Everyone Learns the Arrival and Dismissal Process
Mott has over 800 students! So many more children to love! That really is exciting news, but it also brings some challenges with traffic. Please take the time to read the traffic information below.
Even if you think you know the arrival and dismissal process, we ask that you review this information. Thanks so much!
Arrival Tips
Car Drop Off: Please have your child ready to go when you pull up to the curb, so that traffic continues to flow. If you arrive at the drop off area between 7:05 and 7:20, you should not have much of a wait. The closer you are to 7:35, the longer the line. Plan accordingly.
Tardy Bell is at 7:35: Please make every effort to have your child here on time. Instruction begins at 7:35 am. and students walking in late are a disruption to the classroom routine. We need all our students here on time to maximize their learning opportunity.
Bus: Buses face the same traffic and construction delays that we do. It is a good idea to be at your the bus stop early, and wait up to 10 minutes after your scheduled time in case the bus is running late.
Dismissal Tips
Car Rider: This means that you stay in your car and pull up to the curb. A staff member opens the car door and puts your child in the car. Our goal is to make the line faster so that students and staff are spending less time outside in the heat, and to reduce the amount of time that we are blocking traffic on Hodde Lane. Therefor, if you choose this method, we ask that you please do the following:
- Pull all the way forward. We are trying to load as many cars at one time as we can. Leaving large gaps between you and the person in front of you slows down our process.
- Leave your sign in the passenger window until your child is in the car. The staff opening the car door still need to see the sign to ensure they are putting the correct child in the car.
- Make sure your child can independently fasten their seat belt or buckle their car seat. If you have to reach back and do that, then we ask that you change to a Parent Walk-Up until your child is independent.
"Parent Walk-Up": This means that you are parking your car and walking up to the door near the flagpole that is to the left of the main entrance. You must bring your sign each and every time.
Bus: Every student zoned to attend Mott is provided bus transportation. While the bus process took awhile on the first day of school, the dismissal time for buses was cut in half on the very next day. It will be even faster this week. This is by far the fastest and easiest way for your child to get home.
