Training Opportunities at WU
Dear Certified Mentor,
Winthrop University’s NetSCOPE Grant, in collaboration with C.E.R.R.A, will present “Analysis of Student Work Mentor Academy.” This two day training provides mentors with tools and strategies for helping beginning teachers identify student needs, plan for differentiated instruction, and ensure equitable learning outcomes. Upon completion of training, participants will be able to:
• Intensify coaching expertise
• Analyze student work
• Use student work analysis for planning lessons
• Differentiate instruction
The training will be held April 1-2, 2014 on the campus of Winthrop University in the Withers/WTS Building room 401. The training will begin at 9:00 a.m. and conclude by 4:00 p.m. each day. Participants must have completed the three-day South Carolina “Foundations in Mentoring” training in order to attend.
Registration will be open to NetSCOPE partnership schools only until March 7. After March 7, registration will be open to all schools in our partnership districts. Please register online at the following site:
