PRESIDENCY MESSAGE

In John 14:15 we read, “If ye love me, keep my commandments”. Jesus showed us a great example of obedience in the premortal council in Heaven when Lucifer rebelled against Heavenly Father's plan. Jesus Christ expressed his obedience by saying, "Thy will be done". He also went on to suffer temptations during his time on Earth, suffered agony in Gethsemane and then ultimately offered himself as a sacrifice for our sins. He invites us to follow His example of obedience by saying simply, "Come, follow me". When we accept the invitation of Jesus to obey we also get to enjoy the promised blessings associated with keeping those commandments. Are we willing to accept his invitations to follow Him and enjoy the promised blessings He is waiting to give us? What commandments do Heavenly Father and Jesus ask us to keep? How do they keep us safe? What are we promised if we listen and obey? I know that Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ have given us instructions to help us know where to go and what to do while we are here on the Earth. They are waiting and wanting to bless us every day and to help us stay safe.

Love,

Sister Wing
