WANTED: HELIUM
Lindsay Morris
Wanted For:
Helium is used as a cooling medium for the Large Hadron Collider, the superconducting magnets in MRI scanners and NMR spectrometers, and is also used to cool satellite instruments, and the liquid oxygen and hydrogen that powered the Apollo space vehicles. Also, because of helium's low density and very low reactivity, it can be used for filling decorative or toy balloons, weather balloons, and airships.
IF YOU SEE THIS ELEMENT, REPORT IT TO THE AUTHORITIES IMMEDIATELY.
Description
Helium is a totally colorless, odorless gas.
ARREST INFORMATION
First Arresting Officer
Helium was first discovered by Sir William Ramsay in London, England, and independently by Per Teodor Cleve and Nils Abraham Langlet in Uppsala, Sweden.
Report Of First Arrest
In 1868, Pierre C. Janssen went to India to measure the solar spectrum during a total eclipse and observed a new yellow line in his measuring instrument, which indicated a new element.
