Welcome from our Principal and Assistant Principal

Dear Conrady Students, Staff and Parents,

An extraordinary time brings unusual challenges as we start the 2020-21 school year. Our hope is to make the Conrady experience as productive and fulfilling academically even in the presence of the constraints put before us. Reflecting on our first year as Principal and Assistant Principal, we have tried to ensure that all of our students, parents, staff, and community members are heard and their input respected, and that the school becomes the best learning community it can be because of all our stakeholders.

Every member of our staff has diligently worked to ensure the smoothest transition to this year’s hybrid learning schedule. Our Technology Department has worked to ensure smooth online meetings for remote learners. Our maintenance staff has worked to provide a safe and clean physical environment. Our teachers and paraprofessionals are working to ensure your student is both engaged and challenged academically. We are all committed to ensure that students feel warmly welcomed even as we physically distance in the building. There is a reason Conrady has been recognized for multiple awards over the years. We celebrate our successes while also continually striving for improvement.

Despite the unusual circumstances, we are still prioritizing daily attendance for all students, whether in person or remote. We are also continuing our PBIS program to encourage positive behaviors and attitudes. We celebrate our students progress academically, socially, and emotionally. We encourage our students to think of themselves as global citizens and to act accordingly.

We are honored by the trust you place in us as you send your students to school each day. It has never been more important for you to feel safe and supported by your school. We have high expectations for ourselves to provide that safe learning environment. We also have high expectations for our students. We expect them to use their time here to grow into well-rounded life-long learners who will meet with success in all their future endeavors.

We look forward to another amazing school year in service to our students, parents, and community.

Best to you all,

Ms. Adrienne Pavek, Principal
Mrs. Dorita McCabe, Assistant Principal

CDC Mask Recommendation

We ask that your child wears one of the types of masks recommended by the CDC. Earlier this year, we sent home two washable/reusable masks. Masks that are not approved are: gaiters (pull up like a turtle neck), bandanas, and masks with vents.

DO NOT WEAR THE MASKS PICTURED BELOW TO SCHOOL.

Conrady PTSA Welcome Letter

Dear Parents & Guardians:

The PTSA would like to wish you a warm welcome to Conrady Jr. High! Whether this is your 1st (or 5th!) child attending Conrady, or you’re new to the district, we know that this can be both an exciting and scary time! Fortunately, the PTSA is here to help you navigate this big change!

The PTSA is a great way to get involved in your child’s school experience and stay in touch with what is happening in the schools. As our kids get older and we have fewer chances to get into the schools to meet their teachers, the PTSA is one of the best ways to stay connected. As your PTSA Board, we have found that being a part of this organization has provided us the extremely rewarding experience of connecting with parents, teachers, support staff and the community which bring so much value to our middle schoolers’ educational experience.

At Conrady Jr. High, we are extremely lucky and sincerely grateful to have the most dedicated staff! With their help, the PTSA has been able to host or assist with the following events during previous school years:

Spirit Wear

Fall Bash

Roller Skating Party

Suckers for Spencer (a weeklong charitable event benefiting a former student)

Book donation to the Children’s Hospital

Teacher Appreciation Luncheon

Principal’s Breakfast celebrating Student’s Academic Achievement

Great America Trip

8th Grade Dance

Donation of individual gifts to each 8th grader (this will be your child soon!)

and so much more!

We truly cannot do all that we do without help! If you are interested in helping in any way, please contact us at conradyptsa@yahoo.com. We hope that you consider being a part of our organization during the upcoming school year!

Thank you,

The 2020-2021 PTSA Board

Information on virtual PTSA meetings will be sent via email.
