Some important facts:
- Ringworm is transmitted by direct contact or with an item that is contaminated with spores
- Ringworm is a fungus
- Ringworm is found in most animals including dogs, cats and humans
- Symptoms of ringworms is a small, hairless lesion, the lesions will have scaly skin in the center and small pustules
- Life Cycle: They can live in the environment for up to 18 months, in mud, food, and bedding. Ringworms spores then appear on the skin in 10 to 20 days after initial contact.
