Reminder: Please return Fridley chromebooks and accessories to school

As previously communicated, if your student was issued a chromebook from Fridley Public Schools, please remind them to return it with charging cord and chromebook bag this week.


All devices and accessories are the property of Fridley Public Schools. The devices and accessories must be returned to Fridley Public Schools at the end of each school year or upon withdrawal from school.


Please refer to the document below for detailed information regarding technology damages and loss, as well as repairs and replacement costs.

CHROMEBOOK RETURN FOR 9TH-11TH GRADE STUDENTS

We will be collecting Chromebooks, chargers, and cases in the classroom between Monday, June 6th and Wednesday, June 8th. Please make sure your student brings these technology items to school on these dates.


9th -11th Grades in FRIDLEY ONLINE ACADEMY:


Wednesday, June 8th - Media Center from 12:30 - 3:00pm

Thursday, June 9th - Media Center from 8:30am - 11:30am

SUMMER STUDENT METRO TRANSIT PASS 2022

All Fridley High School students are eligible to purchase a summer student bus pass from Metro Transit for unlimited bus and light rail rides all summer long! The pass costs $30, and can be purchased beginning on May 9th, 2022. The pass is valid from June 1st through September 6th.


This pass can be used on any bus or train in the metro with a fare up to $3.25 (for fares high than that amount, like some Northstar commuter rail trips, students will need to add value to their passes.) Students can go to metrotransit.org/summer-student-pass to get more details about the pass and order one online with a credit card or purchase a pass with cash or a credit card at Metro Transit Service Centers.

SAVE THE DATE! BACK TO SCHOOL RESOURCE FAIR ON AUGUST 20TH

Fridley Public Schools will be hosting their annual Back to School Resource event on Saturday, August 20th. The event will be at Fridley High School in the main parking lot and will be a drive-thru event from 10:30 am - 12:30 pm. Registration will open online on July 25th. Please look for the registration on the Fridley Public School main website starting on July 25th. This event is for students enrolled with Fridley Public Schools.

Fridley Public Schools Summer Meals

Fridley Public Schools Summer Meals

Fridley Public Schools will be offering free summer meals to children 18 years of age and under. We are returning to pre-pandemic procedures including all meals must be consumed in the cafeteria. There will be no meal pick up or grab and go meals this summer. Meals will be served Monday-Thursday. We hope that families and students will come and take advantage of the free meals.


Middle School Meal Service

Dates: June 14-August 18.

Meal Service: Monday-Thursday

Breakfast times: 9:00-9:30 am

Lunch times: 11:45-12:30 pm

Location: Middle School Café

All meals must be consumed on site. There are no grab and go meals this school year.


Hayes Meal Service

Dates: June 20-July 28

Meal Service: Monday-Thursday

Breakfast time: 9:00-9:30 am

Lunch Time: 11:45-12:30 pm

Location: Hayes Café

All meals must be consumed on site. There are no grab and go meals this school year.

Due to limited resources and bus drivers, we need to make sure we are using our resources to the most efficient way. For the 2022-2023 school year, we will be requiring ALL students to fill out and submit this google form to determine eligibility for transportation next school year. This form is also linked on our website at www.fridleyschools.org/about-us/departments/transportation.

BOOKS ON BUSSES!

Fridley Public Schools campaign to collect books will be starting this fall! "Books On Busses" is a program where busses will have books available for students to borrow if they like or just read on the bus as they go to and from school. Collection boxes at the schools or they can bring them to the Fridley Community Center.
