Happy New Year

Huston-Tillotson University International Alumni Association

2015 Reflections

On behalf of the Dallas Chapter of the Huston-Tillotson University International Alumni Association I would like to thank each of you for your support in 2015. No task or thought was too small nor was it unnoticed. We truly worked in union and found strength. For this, I am grateful.

I am grateful for the souls who graced our presence but transitioned this year; although they will be missed we will uphold their legacy.

I am grateful for an ever growing community of alumni and friends all willing to uphold the mission of our beloved alma mater.

I am grateful for new beginnings & visions deeply rooted in our rich history.

Through it all, I am grateful for 2015 and wish each of you a prosperous New Year. It is my prayer that you continue to support and serve the mission of Huston-Tillotson University in the days to come.

Peace and Blessings be with you in 2016

Pledge Brunch Weekend 2015

Thank you for your support

In the spirit of the season I wanted to extend thanks to everyone who supported this year’s Pledge Brunch Weekend- truly was a success. I am always amazed by the outpour of love and support we have for our beloved Huston-Tillotson. Alumni came from near and far to celebrate, reconnect and make pledges to HT. A special thank you to the representatives of the International Association as well as the Ft. Worth Chapter.

This year’s honorees were Dr. Rosie Sorrels and Ms. Gwendolyn Taylor Bendy and Dr. Burnette the new President and CEO of HT shared the state of the University. On Sunday the concert choir shared their gifts during the 8am service at St. Luke Community United Methodist Church. Overall the weekend was inspiring and reminded us to continue to “give them something to talk about”.

A special acknowledgement to the Pledge Brunch committee chaired by Bobbie Waring and Dr. Donnie Breedlove words can not begin to show the amount of gratitude I have for dedicating their time and various sacrifices. I remain in awe, needless to say that I am proud to be a part of such an outstanding chapter.
