Parent Update
I hope everyone had a nice Thanksgiving break. We have about 3 weeks before our Christmas Recess (December 26th - December 30st).
Thank you to our staff and very generous community members for allowing us to create 28 Thanksgiving Day food baskets that the staff was able to deliver to families within our community. We wanted to send a special thank you to the following businesses for their donations: Berkshire Hathaway, Bradley's Hardware, Hunters Stop n Save, Green Mountain Furniture, Keller Williams Coastal and Mountains Real Estate, Lucas Roasting, Maxfield Real Estate, and Thrivent Insurance. It was great to see our communities come together to support our local families.
Our winter sports programs have finished their tryouts and practices are underway. A reminder to middle school families that students participating in KRMS sponsored activities need to keep their work habit grades in good standing to continue their involvement on teams and organizations. Also, when picking up students at the end of practice, please avoid parking in circle directly in front of the school as this is the place were the late buses line up. It is best to park in one of the parking spaces and have your child walk to your car. Thank you for your support in this matter.
KRMS Students now have access to a free online tutoring program, Tutor.com, using their account via their student chromebooks. See directions below for how to login. This is a great opportunity for students. Click here to watch a quick video about how Tutor.com can help!
In addition, we have provided a "Snow-Day" schedule in the event that the schools are closed due to weather, but we would still have remote instruction. This has taken the place of how we used to do "Blizzard Bags." Please make sure you check your messages from the superintendent on such days to know if they are truly a "snow day" (no school at all) or they are a "remote day" where instruction is provided through Google Meet as indicated in the schedule below.
Finally, the KRMS Holiday band and chorus concert is scheduled for December 7 at 6:30 at the Kingswood Arts Center. Information about this has been provided from our wonderful band and chorus teachers, Mrs. Daley-Gibson and Mrs. Goodwin. Please reach out if you have any questions or need help with required attire.
Although this is an exciting time for many, this time of year can also be stressful for children with the upcoming holidays. If the school can be of any assistance, please do not hesitate to reach out. Thank you for your continued support and collaboration.
Sincerely,
Kerry Hunt
