The Falcon Flyer

October 2020

Dear Foothills Families,

Happy October to everyone! While I am sad October brings in colder temperatures, I do enjoy seeing the beautiful fall colors in the mountains. Just a reminder as it does start to get colder in the mornings to make sure your child comes dressed appropriately to be outside.

We have some great things happening this month! There are lots of PTO activities happening, SEPs, Fall Break, and Halloween. Thank you for reading through this newsletter to be in the know!

Thank you for allowing us to work as a partner with you in your child's education. Our students are kind, hard working, and resilient. We appreciate the support our wonderful parents give to our students and staff every day. Have a fabulous month!

Sincerely,
Mrs. Stoddard

Foothills Elementary Principal

Halloween Celebrated at Foothills on October 29th

Because there is no school on Friday, October 30th we will be doing some Halloween Activities on Thursday, October 29th. Due to COVID-19 our activities will look a little different this year.

Students will be able to wear their costume to school but please remember NO weapons, violent outfits, inappropriate makeup, and students will still need to follow our school dress guidelines. Students will also still need to wear a mask to school with their costume.

We will post a video of the classes in their costumes and the activities they participate in that day at the end of the day for families.

Breakfast and Lunch Info

There is currently free breakfast and lunch for all Nebo School District Students until December 31st. Breakfast is served at 8:30 AM. If students want to each lunch, they just need to tell their teacher in the morning and then stand in the lunch line.

If Remote Students or Quarantine Students want to order breakfast and/or lunch please go the Parents Tab on our school website and click on Remote Students Breakfast/Lunch Order Online.

Thank you Parents

Thank you parents for all your support with this amazing school year and all you are doing to keep our students safe and healthy.

Here are a few reminders of how you can help us at school:

  • Screen your children each morning for the Coronavirus symptoms. If they have any symptoms please keep them home.
  • Send your child with a water bottle to use throughout the day.
  • Check in at the office before go any further into our school building.
  • Send your child in a clean mask each day.

We have had an increased number of students coming to school without a mask. Please remind your student(s) to bring their mask(s) every day. Masks should be washed and rotated often. We do accept donations of disposable masks as well.

When your child is absent...

We appreciate you taking the time to let the office know when your child is absent. You can also let us know ahead of time when you will be on vacation. Please call 801-423-9172 to report absences before 9:15 am. Thanks so much for your help.
