Parents Teacher Conferences
Parent Teacher Conferences are a little more than a month away but we wanted to get them on your radar. This year the dates are Wed, Nov 2 from 3:30-7:30 and Thur, Nov 3 from 3:30-7pm. We will again be offering both virtual and in-person conferences. This is a very important time for parents to discuss their student's progress with his/her teachers, as research has shown that parental involvement is one of the most important factors in a student's success in school.
Great News! Dealing with your children’s lunch money and school fee payments just got a lot easier. You can add money to your child’s meal account, see their cafeteria purchase history, and pay for all school related fees securely online from your computer, tablet or smartphone!
How Do You Get Started? It’s simple!
- Go to www.k12paymentcenter.com in your web browser
- First time users click “Sign Up” then select your state and district from the drop-down lists
- Fill in your information to set up the account
- Click “Manage Students” to add your student(s) with their last name and student ID number
- Make a payment to your students’ accounts with your credit/debit card or electronic check
Once you create your account and add your students, you will have access to your student’s meal account balance and cafeteria purchase history. When making meal account or school fee payment there is a small convenience fee per transaction (not per child) to cover payment processing.
Social Work Corner
Hello Barry Families,
As the school social worker, I want to ensure I am meeting the needs of the students and families that make up this great community. One way of doing this is by getting direct feedback from you. I sent out an email to every family this week requesting you to complete a brief survey on a Google form. This will allow families to identify areas where support is needed and also express interest in programs available in the district. This survey also provides an opportunity for families to give back to their school community and help fellow Pirate families. If you did not receive the email, please contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org and I will send the information again. Some of my emails were returned as undeliverable, therefore, an updated email address is needed.
For those who have completed the form, thank you for your feedback! I will be in touch with those requesting contact and I look forward to working with you.
