Odd and Even Numbers
Grade 2 is learning all about odd and even numbers! They did such a wonderful job explaining their thinking when I visited on Monday!

I loved the discussion in Grade 5 on Monday as everyone reflected upon what good problem solvers do!
Buddy Rooms
Thank you Grade 5 and Grade1 for being such awesome learning buddies! They had so much fun and learned so much with fact families and pumpkin math!

Electrical Systems in Grade 4
On Tuesday, fourth grade students were given bags with parts and no directions! They worked in small groups to analyze each part and build a functioning system. If the solar light made the fan work, they were successful!
PreK 1 Science Time
The students in PreK 1 were so engaged with their science learning this week, as usual!
Circle Time
I witnessed the most wonderful circle time in IAS K1 today! It was so great to see so much happiness and learning!

Literature / Art Integration in PreK 2
PreK 2 students made masks based on a book they enjoyed, which was titled Sometimes I Am Bombaloo. So much creativity!

Caught Being Kind
Brandon Trapero Vazquez has been assisting a new student by interpreting information at lunch from English to Spanish. Our new friend feels welcome and supported. With Brandon's help, he joined the 2nd Grade Lunch Bunch with Mrs. Kolb and had a great time!
Brady, from Mrs. McMahon's PreK 2 Class, got a peer's jacket out of her cubby and handed it to her.
Avery from Mrs. Moura’s class helped a friend clean up!
Hunter, also from Mrs. McMahon's PreK 2 Class, retrieved a friend's home/school folder and handed it to him.
Josiah from Mrs. Aquilante’s class offered kind words and advice to a friend during a project.
Michael Akingbade helped a teacher before school on Monday!
Jarius Almeida brought a milk for a friend to lunch.
Thomas M. and Willow, both from Mrs. Moura’s class, are always very kind to their friends!
Alexander from Mrs. Hervieux's class offered support to another who needed help with math.
Anthony Palmisano, also from Mrs. Hervieux's class is always very kind and a good role model.
Joey N., also from Mrs. Hervieux's class, is always respectful to others.
