READING MARCH MADNESS
We all know that March brings out some of the best basketball games due to the NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament. Well, March brings out the readers in my room! And they are excited!
Reading March Madness has begun! All students who come for reading assistance participate in the reading tournament. The books are selected mainly by primary students and myself. The students selected three books that they love and I chose the competitors. The bracket is hung outside the room. And the reading and read-alouds have begun!
The first round has seven book match-ups and last year's winner gets a bye. The students select a match-up, read the books, and choose which book they prefer. The books with the most tallies at the end of this week will go onto to the next round, the quaterfinals.
