PSSA Parent Letter
Dear Parents,
On April 26, 27, & 28, 2022, our students will be taking the Pennsylvania System of School Assessment – English Language Arts PSSA. On May 2 & 3, 2022, they will be taking the Mathematics PSSA. Eighth graders on May 4 & 5, 2022 will be taking the Science PSSA.
The purpose for having one test session per day is to assure that our student population is focused on achieving successful testing results.
Teachers and students alike spent many hours throughout the school year working to meet the state-required mathematics and ELA standards. Therefore, perfect student attendance and their special attention to testing detail on these dates is highly recommended. Please help us by encouraging your child to facilitate the testing requirements to the best of his/her ability. Please remind your child that all electronic devices should be off and given to the teacher.
Testing is only available in-person and on-site, and each virtual student will be scheduled to take the test in his/her/their home school. We remain committed to adhering to the guidelines in our district’s Health and Safety Plan.
If you have any questions regarding the testing process, please contact one of the administrators. Thank you for your continued support of Neil A. Armstrong Middle School.
Sincerely,
Ed Dayton

Mr. Hayden Brings Self Defense to Armstrong
Armstrong students and their mothers/guardians attended a fun and informative evening designed to help keep them and their families safe. The free event was hosted by Mr. Hayden, Mrs. Hayden, Ms. Mazzocchi, and Mrs. Slenker. The event involved lots of physical activity, laughs, and tons of great information! Our students and family members left with a great sense of confidence and self-defense! A giant thank you to all of our staff who participated and facilitated the evening!
Earth Day Thank you from Ms. Cooke-Lyle
I would like to take this opportunity to thank Mrs. Rosta's class, Mrs. Ewing's class, and Ms. Reed's 3rd-period class for taking the time to help clean up Ms. Geri's Garden. I appreciate
your hard work and effort. Words cannot express how much this means to me.

Mr. Dayton's SEL Tip of the Week!
Parents-
Students need to sleep well at night to be prepared for school. Electronics and social media use at night can greatly disturb your child's sleep. Help your child have a good night's sleep by monitoring and limiting their online presence and use of social media at night.
