4-H Council Ballots
Thayer County 4-H Council
Only one ballot per enrolled Thayer County 4-H member, parent/guardian, or volunteer. General public is NOT eligible to vote. You may also vote in person at the Extension office during normal business hours. Ballot closes Friday, October 15at 12:00 pm.
The Thayer County 4-H Council has 3 open adult seats and 18 nominees. Members will serve a 2 year term from January 1, 2022 to December 31, 2023 with the option to renew for a 2nd 2 year term. All 5 current youth council members have renewed for a second 1 year term and there are no open youth seats at this time.

Nuckolls County 4-H Council
The Nuckolls County 4-H Council has 2 open adult seats and nominees. Members will serve a 2 year term from January 1, 2022 to December 31, 2023 with the option to renew for a 2nd 2 year term. A ballot link will be sent at a later date.
Drone Zone Workshop Oct. 23 in Grand Island
Kylie is partnering with other drone enthusiasts in Nebraska Extension to help teach a drone workshop in Grand Island. Explore Unmanned Aerial System best practices, FAA certification how-to, and career opportunities in a workshop-style setting with on Sat. Oct. 23 from 9-12 noon at the Hall County Extension Office. Beginners are welcome!

Nuckolls County Premiums Checks That Still Need Cashed
Premium checks from the following individuals have not been cashed:
Preslea Adams, Hadley Schoneberg, Avery Ostdiek, Cashlie Corman, Bella Henderson, Sequoia Wulf, and Maya Fanning.
Prompt attention to cashing these checks is requested to prevent them being voided 90 days after they were written. DON’T MISS OUT!
If you have misplaced your check, please contact our office as soon as possible, so arrangements can be made. Thanks for your attention in this matter.

Pick Up Your Cake Auction Checks ASAP
The 2021 Cake Auction was very successful. The 4-H Council raised in $6700.00. Half of these proceeds stay with the 4-H Council to facilitate events and activities. Half of these proceeds are returned to the 4-Hers who helped raise this money with their cakes.
Here's how it works:
The office has checks ready for each family who furnished a cake.
If you need to know who purchased your cake, call the office.
Please bring a stamped thank you to the office, ask for the pre-printed mailing label for your sponsor, and pick up your check.

LEADERSHIP, COLLEGE & CAREER READINESS OPPORTUNITIES
Become a 4-H Youth Ambassador for Nebraska 4-H Youth Leadership Conference
Nebraska 4-H is recruiting exceptional 4-Hers to help plan the 2nd Nebraska 4-H Youth Leadership Conference in the role of ambassadors.
As a part of the Youth Leadership Conference ambassador group, you can be a voice on the youth perspective, develop & practice leadership skills that you can take back to your communities, and collaborate with Extension Staff and 4-Hers across the state to plan & implement the 4-H Youth Leadership Conference.

If selected, the first meeting will be Sunday, November 7th, 2021 at 4-6pm CT (via Zoom). They will then meet monthly to create an amazing experience for high schoolers across the state.
