Spelling Bee Winners
Please join us in congratulating Nathan Abraham as Austin Parkway's 2021-2022 Spelling Bee Champion and Johnathan George our 2021-2022 Spelling Bee Runner-up!
The National Spelling Bee began in 1925 when nine newspapers joined together to host a spelling bee. Little did they know that 90 years later their literacy effort would reach 11 million students each year.
Every year, students from all walks of life have the opportunity to participate in the Scripps National Spelling Bee. They progress from classroom to cafeteria, from auditorium to civic center, just as millions of other students have done before them.
The purpose of the Bee is to help students improve their spelling, increase their vocabularies, learn concepts and develop correct English usage that will help them all their lives.
Thank you to Mrs. Hutchison and the Spelling Bee committee for hosting this event!

Parents are welcome to have lunch with their child. Due to social distancing guidelines, limits were established on the number of parents that could be present on campus at the same time for lunch.
Each grade level will be allowed to have six visitors for lunch each day. We ask that one parent/guest sign up to eat lunch per student each day. This will allow comfortably distanced seating between parents, their child, and other students.
Please sign up for one slot each month in the interest of safety and fairness to everyone who would like to enjoy lunch with their child.
It is important that you sign up to eat lunch with your child using the sign up genius.
Please do not arrive on campus without having signed up. This will ensure you have reserved a space on the day of your choice.
PTA meetings will be held during the school year. All parents are encouraged to become members of the PTA on our campus and attend meetings and events. The PTA typically provides monetary support such as programs, the winter and spring parties, technology, staff development for teachers, field trips, etc., as well as voluntary time and hours by providing people to assist with multiple school activities.
Please contact our PTA President, Mrs. Misty Cervenka at email@example.com for information regarding any questions or to volunteer for the PTA.
