Principal's Message
It is an honor to begin my 3rd year of service to the Wolfsville community as principal. We continue to forge ahead with our distinct mission to personalize learning paths for our students in order to ensure continuous growth for each and every Wolfsville learner. As we near the start of another year sophisticating our personalized system, I wanted to highlight the role of our dedicated, innovative and courageous staff.
Our teachers have dedicated time this summer to collaborate as they thoughtfully examine and plan for the needs of our students to learn and grow as readers, writers and problem solvers. We have proudly built our schedules, student groupings and curricular resources specifically with student's needs in mind. 'The Wolfsville Way' they have created is anchored in a philosophy that learning should be constant for all students regardless of their age, skills and/or ability. This group of talented educators are working to grow systems we initiated last year utilizing multi-age flexible grouping structures based on academic growth, fostering independence and transfer of skills though student agency, creating individualized learning targets for content standards though technological resources that interest and excite our learners!
It is a privileged to work alongside this dedicated and skilled group of educators and I am greatly looking forward to another exciting school year at Wolfsville! Together we will continue our mission of empowering each and every student as they ‘experience the pride of achievement through the power of learning’.
Yours in Education,
Megan Stein, Principal

Mark your calendars for our Back to School Celebration! We will have our annual back to school information night and family picnic combined on Thursday, August 29th from 5:00 - 7:00 PM at Wolfsville Elementary School. We will begin the evening with a short PTA general meeting followed by teacher information sessions and a shared celebration complete with a pot luck meal, music and family fun! A complete news release of detailed information will be shared at a later date in August.
Summer Reading
Research indicates up to two months of reading skills and two and a half months of math skills can be lost over the summer months. This loss of academic skills can accumulate over the years and equate to a loss of almost 2 school years of learning lost due to summer slide. It's not too late to begin participating in the Frederick County Public Libraries reading activities or create literacy memories of you own by utilizing our online resources.
The Frederick County Public Library Summer Reading Program is a great opportunitiy or look for book suggestions for Summer Reading including a variety of eBooks for Kids. You will need a Frederick County library card number and internet access to enjoy online reading.
The Wolfsville Elementary Media Center Webpage offers online reading resources. Your child will continue to have access to their RAZ kids account.
